Q.R. |
What is it?Language stimulation goes hand-in-hand with speech therapy. It consists of regular interventions, in order to work on the goals established during the speech therapist's assessment. The language stimulation agent works mainly with preschool-aged children, in both Coteau-du-Lac and Vaudreuil, as well as in daycares. Having a language stimulation agent at our clinic allows us to help more clients.

Q.R. |
Who can stimulate my child's language?Everybody can help stimulate a child's language. However, since the language stimulation agent has
an attestation of college studies in language stimulation, she has specific training regarding language development and intervention methods to stimulate it. She works with children to meet the goals established during the speech therapist's assessment. |
Q.R. |
Can language stimulation agents replace speech therpists? No. The language stimulation agent works under the supervision of the speech therapist, as she cannot establish intervention goals nor determine a diagnosis. When a child is seen by the stimulation agent, they are also periodically seen by the speech therapist, who updates the intervention goals.
